“He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them” [Hebrews 7:25].

Uttermost means Jesus has saved me so perfectly, that nothing should be wanted afterwards. I am convicted knowing that I don’t always live as if this were true. I have been saved by a personal God…one who intercedes on my behalf…who prays for me! Why would I waste a single moment desiring anything above Him, when I am already in possession of the most precious, perfect gift?

I am constantly humbled by you, Lord. Help me draw near to you, remembering that I have already been saved to the uttermost.
